Not only does it make the room seem smaller, but it also throws off the balance of the surrounding furniture.<\/p><p>\ud83d\udc49\u00a0<em>My advice:<\/em><\/p><ul><li><strong>In the living room :<\/strong>\u00a0The front legs of your sofa should rest on the carpet. Ideally, at least 20-30 cm of carpet should protrude from each side of the sofa. This creates a sense of grandeur and unity.<\/li><li><strong>In the bedroom :<\/strong>\u00a0The carpet should extend 50 cm beyond each side of the bed to frame the room harmoniously.<\/li><\/ul><p>A good-sized rug visually anchors your furniture and gives structure to the space.
